Third; jeweller did not evolve from apes, jobsite we both evolved from a common ancestor and took different evolutionary paths to where we are today. Forth; The ” stupid ” apes did not die out, because they are adapted to their environment, just as we are adapted to ours. Lose your overall inclusive fitness, the ability to reproduce/replicate and you lose out to better adapted organisms, even if those organisms speciated from the unsuccessful type. PS To be perfectly technical, whether you like it or not, you are an ape.
